]]>Hi, Deborah! Thank you for your comment. I pray you and your family have a very blessed Christmas!:)
]]>I agree. Majority of the Christmas cartoons and shows focus only on Santa and he’s not even real. Me and my husband always struggled with the whole Santa issue with our kids. It’s important to celebrate Christmas to honor Jesus, not some made up figure.
I pray you and your family have a blessed Christmas!:)
I used to enjoy Christmas until it became over commercialized sending everyone on a guilt trip if they didn’t spend hundreds of pounds on their loved ones. It seemed to stretch everywhere, distant cousins, friends you barely keep in touch with. Christmas has become a total farce in the last decade or so especially. You know what’s worse than any of those things? I often hear parents talking about whether their kids believe in Santa not Jesus! When did Santa take primacy over Jesus!?!? The original message, reason and celebration of the birth of Jesus (whether it is historically accurate or not) has been lost in the recent past. This is something I bemoan particularly at the moment. I am of course happy to give my children gifts, to share a nice roast meal with my immediate family, but I will not partake in any other rubbish that is somehow gotten itself embedded into this most special of days. Good post as always from you!
